Eight amazing American cities that are great for cycling

America’s love affair with the car is well known.

This is the birthplace of a road trip, an utopia for a motor with 284 million vehicles.

One result is that traffic cities encompasses shield throughout the land.

And so many of them are surprised that some of these cities actually have incredible cycling infrastructure.

Here we reveal eight of them, cities that are often unexpected for pedal discoveries.

There is a city where the bike lines were plowed in the winter before the streets, the destination with the “Bike No. 1 in the United States” and a city known for the construction of steel, forming bicycle paths that form a tapestry and links bridges, rivers and sights.

Some cities have hiking paths that move along the former railway lines, others with routes to the suburbs.

They all become a hero of the bike, regardless of the ability and weather.

Houston, Texas

And don’t forget to visit the Pitsburg Bike Paradise Museum, which is the largest museum of transport in the world, with two wheels.

Denver, Colorado

Denver is ideal for exploring two wheels with 850 miles out of the street.

Riders can easily move between neighborhoods such as the Bohemian Rino area and the golden triangle rich in culture, tourism board, densver.org.

Meanwhile, those who are on the market for a longer walk can try the South Platt River route.

The 36 miles, once used by the native American tribes, winds through the Denver Parks and ends in the Chatfield State Park.

Washington, DC

Washington, DC, has reached 150 miles of bicycle lines and hiking routes for urban exploration.

You can use your way to the bucket list sites, through calm parks and rail routes such as the capital’s crescent route and the movement of the channel channel and Ohio to escape beautiful rural areas.

Not convinced? The American Cycling League has announced the DC to a friendly bicycle community at the gold level.

Austin, Texas

Sleeves are often compressed with traffic, so go to two wheels instead and use 300 miles of bike lines and walking paths.

These include hiking and bicycles and on Butler around Lake Lady Bird and Lens Armstrong bike.

Austin was the main city of the cyclist, and his six -mile cycle route connected the western and east sides of the city and captures the riders through the center.

Tucson, Arizona

Certainly, this gives riders a breathtaking view of the city and the unpleasant desert view – and is going to refuel closely to restaurants.

Seattle, Washington State

Seattle has a proud experience in supporting the initiatives and has been entirely embracing cycling.

There are 200 miles of bike lines and beach walks to enjoy – and bike -equipped buses.

According to Seattle, there is a Burke-Gilman route, which extends 27 miles from Ballard to the outskirts of Both, along a former railway line, crossing “some of the most attractive neighborhoods in the city”.

The sequel to Eliot’s Gulf is also essential, while the tourist board explains that the five miles pass through the Olympic sculptures, Marina and the green spaces, “providing a stunning view of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains”.

Madison, Wisconsin
