Smells128 days as the bureaucratic executioner of Donald Trump, Elvan Maskak says he is leaving the government.
As CEO of Tesla and Spacex, Musk has a long history of unsuccessful forecasts and broken promises, and he has made various signals about his future conflict with the Trump administration.
But the reports suggest that Mask, like Mark Zuckerberg before him, is really disappointed with politics and disappointed with the “uphill battle” he was trying to rebuild the federal government in the way he rebuilds Twitter.
There is also an increasing evidence of disagreement between him and the president, the collapse of the political committee that defines the final weeks of the 2024 election and the start of Trump’s second government.
It was reportedly disappeared last month after donating millions of people to the MAGA -backed candidate in Wisconsin. Recently, Mesak is said to have flew to the Middle East with Trump to complain about an artificial intelligence project that his companies were not involved in, before publicly accuse Trump of weakening his work with DOG.
Therefore, using the 130 -day legal period of Meshak as the “special employee of the government” that ends today, and the Democrats who are going to work until then, this is a good opportunity to suspend disbelief and evaluate his success so far.
The objective of the Mosque as the (apparently informal) DOGE was reducing government spending and saving US taxpayers. Prior to the inauguration, he claimed that he could reduce $ 1 trillion from the federal budget before September 30th – now a decline in his $ 2 trillion promise on the election campaign. He went on to claim that “most of the work” is done to accomplish this within 130 days.
Since May 26, DOGE’s “walls” have estimated $ 175 billion in savings from the beginning of the Trump period or $ 1,086.96 for each taxpayer. The problem is that this figure may be simply nonsense.

Some of these reductions will certainly cause waste to reduce it. The cancellation of scientific studies before presenting the results means throwing away any money that has been spent before. And if we magnify, more reliable data shows that the total cost of the government has increased by about six to seven percent compared to the same period last year.
Overall, then the Crusader War has been a significant failure. But there are other criteria that may successfully immerse the role of the mask in the White House.
For example, suppose that you wanted to erase the lines between public services and private interest and build the government for direct participation of plotocrats. What if you want to focus power under your own, take a “single executive” radical theory and challenge congressional constitutional power over government spending? A good start is to destroy a government agency by Fiat, then dare reverse your opponents.
Similarly, if you want to deport millions of immigrants while you are widely capable of monitoring and controlling American citizens, you can do worse than entering DOGE employees into countless federal agencies to access and integrate sensitive databases that have long been separated from it, while playing quick security.
The courts still decide how much it was legal, and DOGE has faced problems. Trump will also be following the Congress for approximately $ 9 billion in the past. In the long run, it is possible that the mask’s actions may be as poisonous for Trump’s public image as they were for him.
However, by moving quickly and asking for forgiveness instead of permission, DOGE has already made the US government more chaos and despotism. This is a victory for Trump and his allies, regardless of what the world’s richest person chooses for the next.
Maybe, if not for musk, it was the real thing all the time.
