Rob Edwards named the New Boss of Middlesbrough

Rob Edwards has been appointed as the new head coach Middlesburo in a three -year deal.

The 42 -year -old, who left Luton in January with mutual consent, replaces Michael Carrick, former Manchester United midfielder and England, whose reign ended earlier this month after Teessiders lost in Sky Bet championships.

“Middlesburu is happy to announce the appointment of Rob Edwards as our new head coach,” said a statement on the club’s official website.

“One winner of the Premier League promotion, he joins the club with a three -year contract and has joined the site by Adi Vivash and Harry Vasting,” he said.

“Rob brings a lot of experience and flew Luton in his first season at the club, and he followed it with the manager of the Premier League.”

Edwards had a temporary spell at the former Wolf Club, but began coaching with a non -telecommunications league before he took over the Green Forest, which led him to League One.

After joining Watford, he reached the Hotsers and led the team to the Premier League in May 2023.

He survived only one season in the top flight, but earlier this year after winning four successive defeats, as the club went up and eventually entered League One.

Edwards’s task is to re -establish Boro as propaganda claimants after the disappointing end at the end of last season, which increased his top exile to eight years.

Creek, who was appointed by Chief of Sto Gibson in October 2022, won the club to playoffs at the end of the first season, though they were beaten by Coventry in the semi -finals and only 12 months later they could manage the eighth.

“This is a real privilege to provide the coach of this great football club. This is something that is not lost to me, how big this is, how important it is and what it means to the people,” Edwards told the club’s official website.

“Immediately he felt that this was right for me and excited me,” he said.

“We have a brilliant owner who historically gives his coaches the time, support and tools needed to try and succeed. I can’t wait until now.”
