US President says:

According to the US National Intelligence Manager, the British government has reduced its demand for Apple to access users’ data between privacy and encryption.

Tulsi Gabbard released in X that Britain has agreed to end the US Technology Giant’s request after working with US President Donald Trump, Vice President JD VANCE and British counterparts.

“As a result, Britain agreed to provide Apple to provide” back door “that provides access to protected encrypted data from American citizens and has violated our civil liberties,” he wrote.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the government has issued a statement under the Power Powers Act 2016 law and has asked Apple to access Apple users’ data.

It is said to include encrypted data protected by advanced Tech Giant (ADP) tools, a tool for selecting Apple’s iCloud service that only one account holder can access, and is now available even Apple.

The iPhone maker then said it had taken the tool out of the UK and took legal action against the home administration.

“The government’s decision to reduce its demands to support Apple encryption is welcomed,” said conservative representative David Davis.

“Such a backyard is just to undermine the encryption protection for all of us from malicious actors.”

When reports of the request appeared for the first time, the government’s approach was widely criticized.

However, some online safety charities, as well as police and security services around the world, have long warned of the dangers of encrypted services, arguing that they allow criminals such as terrorists and child invaders to hide more easily.

“We do not comment on operational affairs, including the confirmation or denial of such declarations,” a British government spokesman said on Tuesday.

“We have long had joint security and information settings with the United States to deal with the most serious threats such as terrorism and sexual abuse of children, including the role played by rapid technology to activate these threats.”

They added that agreements to protect privacy and sovereignty, including for British and US citizens, have been “long -term protection of privacy and sovereignty.

Contacted to comment with Apple.
