Guardiola admits that even the players know that Manchester City need new signings
Things have not been good at Manchester City over the winter and Pep Guardiola has admitted they need to do their bit if possible, saying even the current squad agrees that new faces are one possible route back to winning ways.
“The winter transfer window is not easy, but even the players know that we have to add some new players,” Guardiola said.
After these players come and play in their positions, they are unhappy, but we have too many (injuries) and that is a problem. But the discussion is to bring a player for the next four or five years and we have to see. Sometimes it is not easy but we have to try because this is going on for a long time.

Olmo does not think about other clubs
Dani Olmo’s agent, Andy Barra, insists the player is not in talks with any other club amid the horror of Barcelona’s failure to sign him.
“It’s a stressful situation for Danny, like any other player,” Barra said. Of course, Danny is a winner and likes to play the games, not watch them.
We do not negotiate with any club. Danny is a Barcelona player and wants to become a Barcelona player. He has made a lot of effort in his life to be in Barcelona. This has been his longtime dream. Barcelona is the first and last option.
Danny, his father, his family, me, we don’t think about other options.

Godfrey’s Italian nightmare may be over
Another Italian team: X football writer Rudy Galetti claims Ben Godfrey is being eyed by several Premier League clubs.
The former Everton defender joined Atalanta in the summer but has made just one Serie A appearance for them this season, 22 minutes as a substitute.
Wolves have requested “updated information” and Tottenham are showing “most interest” and both hope to sign a centre-back this window.

Chilul to United?
According to recent reports, Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell could be moving to Manchester United in the January transfer window.
England coach Enzo Maresca has told him that he has no place in the Chelsea team and that he should find a new club.
He is expected to leave this month and the Sun claim the Blues are prepared to pay a release clause of up to £10m unless they can find a buyer.
Chilwell fits United’s 3-4-3 system, but his injury problems could prove problematic in a position where Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have spent a lot of time on the sidelines.

Neville on Casemiro and Eriksen’s partnership
Gary Neville has been outspoken in his criticism of Manchester United’s Christian Eriksen and Casemiro duo, claiming the two midfielders should not be playing at the same time.
The former United captain said: No, no. In case of many injuries, they may be forced. We’ve all been there as footballers where you turn 30 and the last thing you want around you is another game next to you at 30.
“The last thing Eriksen sees around him is someone who lacks energy. He wants to see someone who can make up for what he doesn’t have, and vice versa with Casemiro.
There are players at other clubs at the highest level who don’t have legs, but they have people around them who can cover up the fact that they don’t have legs. “They can’t play them as two in midfield with those big gaps.”

Saudi interest in Casemiro
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has attracted increasing interest from Saudi Arabian clubs Al Nasr and Al Qadisiyah.
The only problem with a possible sale, which United would be willing to do, is that most Saudi clubs have their full quota of foreign players and need to sell this month in order to bring in new players.
Casemiro is one of the club’s highest earners, having joined from Real Madrid for £60m in 2022, earning £350,000 a week.

Diego Leon looks set to join Manchester United after Renato Bitar, the Paraguayan agent who represents La Squadra, confirmed the Cerro Porteno defender will undergo a medical.

Osiman and Rashford exchange contract?
This is a rumor that somehow makes sense.
Manchester United are ready to sell Marcus Rashford this month and will need the proceeds from his sale to generate any revenue. Say little about it, but The Sun say a swap deal could be on the way with Napoli to send Rashford to Serie A in exchange for striker Viktor Osiman.
Osiman is currently exiled from the Italian team and refused a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer that could have brought big money.
The striker is currently on loan at Galatasaray but could make a permanent move this month if he moves to a competitive club and league.
This deal is unlikely, but considering the financial conditions of the two clubs, it is not out of the realm of possibility.

Arsenal announced a huge fee for Moani
Arsenal have been reportedly on the lookout for a new striker over the past few weeks, and Randall Kolo-Mowani appears to be one of them.
The news coming out of Italy doesn’t give them much optimism, though it will be easy to get the deal done this month as Tuttosport say the Serie A clubs are priced out of PSG’s demands.
They are not keen on a loan deal and instead want more than €60m for the French striker, leaving Juventus and AC Milan behind. Arsenal and Galatasaray are still looking for options.
