Martin Lewis advised households to wait until Tuesday afternoon before changing energy bills from standard rates to fixed rates.

The founder of Money Save, about ITV, explained the standard energy tariffs that “two -thirds of households” are lit as “pants” and recommend changing to fixed tariffs.

He said on Tuesday February 25, “I wait before you fix it up to about one or two hours.”

In response to Effect, he spoke and said energy bills would increase by more than 6 % in April, which means that British households could increase an average of 111 pounds a year.
