The FBI foiled “a possible terrorist attack” planned for Halloween weekend in Michigan, according to FBI Director Cash Patel.
“This morning the FBI foiled a possible terrorist attack and arrested multiple individuals in Michigan who were allegedly planning a violent attack this Halloween weekend,” he wrote in a social media post Friday morning.
“More details to come. Thanks to the men and women of the FBI and law enforcement everywhere who stand watch 24/7 and crush our mission to defend the homeland.”
It is not yet known where in the state or when the attack took place.
Fox 2 reported that agents in Detroit were in Dearborn and Inkster early Friday, but could not confirm if their presence was connected to the plot.
This is a developing story.
