The Trump administration announced on Friday that Romania’s acceptance of a US visa -to -visit program that allows the United States to travel without a visa, less than four months after the announcement is being added.
The government’s departure from the then President Joe Biden said on January 9 that the program would accept Romania, saying it had faced strict security requirements, including the entry into partnership with the implementation of US law to share information on terrorism and serious crimes. The new rules were implemented around March 31.
The Homeland Security Department paused in late March to conduct a review, which concluded that the determination must be eliminated to protect the integrity of the program and ensure border security and immigration.
“We are grateful for Romania’s close participation over the years for strengthening security cooperation. Romania may be revised for future admission,” said Foreign Minister TRICIA MCLOGLIN.
Romania was 43 mines accepted in the program and the fourth added under Biden after Croatia, Israel and Qatar. The program has strengthened tourists from countries that are added because it makes it easier to enter the United States.
The Romanian Embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to the request.

The news comes as the Romanians voted for their worst political crisis after last year’s vote last year.
Eleven candidates are running for the presidency and are expected to be the second round of May 18. According to the election headquarters, 5.1 million people – about 28.7 % of eligible voters – voted with 630,000 voters by voters in other countries.
