The Humane AI PIN, perhaps the most ridiculous technical version of recent years, is dead.
Last April, after years of confidentiality and rumors, Humane launched what is said to be the future of personal technology. It was a smart brochure that, using artificial intelligence and other technologies, attached to its owner’s jacket to help them move around the world and was introduced through a wide range of passionate events, including in Paris Fashion Week.
But the pin immediately faced a large number of bad investigations that indicate that it was doomed. Perhaps the most prominent YouTuber Marques Brownlee, known as MKBHD, called it “the worst product I have ever examined.”
PIN costs $ 699. Customers also had to sign up for a $ 24 program a month that gave them the data required to access artificial intelligence and other cloud services.
Now, all these expensive pins are useless. Some of the company’s assets are sold to HP, but the product itself is no longer supported or sold.
Humane from changing the message to customers saying “is immediately effective, we are turning off the AI consumer pin because our business priorities have changed.”
From now on, no new pin will be sold and online services are closed at the end of the month. This makes pins useless.
“We know that this transfer may be difficult,” Hooman said.
