I tried the new Dreamliner American Airlines cabin-that’s why it’s a game change

DescriptionAfter only four weeks, it has the smell of a new aircraft.

And the interior smell of the invitees belongs to a cabin that shows a new era for American airlines (AA).

How positive this period will be what I will discover.

I am on a new brand Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners at the London Hitro Airport, a recently flying Airlines from Chicago Ohhar Airport.

In AA planning, it was marked as 787p, “P” that stands for premiums.

It tells travelers that this is a Dreamliner with a fully updated cabin, from front to back, with a new commercial chair called The Flagush Suite, a new premium economy and a new economy.

The new cab was launched in June on the Hitro-Shikago route, but the 787PS will soon be from Philadelphia to Hitro and Zurich and from Dallas Fort to Brisbane and Auckland.

The new cab will be available in all new aircraft delivery 787-9 as well as new Airbus A321XLR aircraft and re-re-built Boeing 777-300rs. By 2030, the American will fly 70 of them.

I show the new flight experience by the Vice President in International Operations, José A. Freig.

He points to the beautiful American Airlines logo on the dark gray partition on the front that greets the ads while riding, and we pause in the eight -chair set in front of the front.

These are extraordinary versions of the flat flagship suites (eventually sold at additional cost) and with 19 % more bed space and 42 percent more than the “living area” more than commercial class seats.

They also obtain a darker color with black marble, brush aluminum and dark brown uphill or appliances, apparently the nickname of the “Darth Vader” chairs.

Jose says they are currently very interesting cuts for the middle real estate for frequent ads.

I can see why they have the air of a first -rate dock and the colors of mood are attractive.

In the case of the cabin as a whole, Jose says customer feedback declares it “change player”.

Jose allows me to explore the crew to return to the return leg alone, and based on my 15 -minute research, during which I am able to sit in any type of chair and push a few buttons, I would like to accept that this cabin is transformed.

In a commercial class cab, set in a 1-2-1 configuration, the reason for the number one is that all seats have privacy doors.

While the conventional flagship commercial chair has a satisfactory impact of the cocoon, the drop -down door of the Cosiness factor is high.

I also love stylish cream, gray and light brown design and easy access seats.

Aviation Geeks points out that the flagship set is based on the Adient climb design, which is also a platform for the new Polaris Elevate Airlines united Airlines, which I examined early on this year at a New York launch event.

You will also find it in Dreamliners 787-9, flying by Qatar Airways and Hawaii Airlines.

So the US Airlines does not invent the wheel here, but is married with a great seat with a very good aircraft.

Meanwhile, the top economy seats-38 inches and 19-19.5 inches depending on the location-have a “privacy division” that help protect passengers from their neighbors and double the amount of storage in the chair.

There are also extensive improvements in the cabin, given the size of the entertainment screen, no matter what tickets you have purchased.

The 787P screen in the flagship series is 12 % more, 21 % in the premium economy and 29 percent more in the main cab, where the seats have 31 inches and 16.5-17.6 inches width.

Charging options are also more common.

The old Dreamliners have AC and USB-A power points, but 787p boils it in all cabins with USB-C and wirelessly charging in superior business and economy and USB-C ports in the economy.

There is now a Bluetooth connection.

I say to Jose that this cabin is more elegant and more advanced than its predecessor.

This has come from not only by introducing privacy doors and a new color scheme, but also by reducing the number of seats in the aircraft, from 285 x 787-9 to 244 x 787p.

The ground and the width of the seat remains largely unchanged, but the cabin is highly premium, with the top 32 economic seats against the ordinary 21-97-this is a 52 percent increase-and 70 percent more commercial seats, from 30 to 51.

Jose tells me after Terminal 3 that this cabin gives US airlines “one foot on competitors beyond the Atlantic.”

The new cabinet certainly puts the carrier in a strong position and I can’t wait to try it in the air. Watch this space – and for that magical letter “P” in your next American Airlines reservation.
