Mustafa Sepavand, 39, Farhad Javadi Mansh, 44, and Shapur Ghullah Khani Nouri, 55, appeared in West Minister’s court on Saturday and was charged with crimes under the National Security Act.
All are accused of participating in behavior, which is likely to help Iran’s foreign intelligence services between August 14, 2024 and February 16, 2025.
The three men were in custody and appeared at a June 6 preliminary session.
The other four men have been released from detention but are still in investigation.
“The responsibility of the inappropriate impact of such actions, which seems to be motivated by political motives to put pressure on Iran, will be on the British government,” the state media quoted a State Department official as saying.
The British government has placed Iran at the highest level of registration of its foreign influence and needs Tehran to record all the work it does to implement political influence in the UK.
