Another item of the deadly mpox discovered in the UK


Another case is a deadly MPOX type in the UK.

The British Health Security Agency (UKHSA) announced on Friday that another Clade LB case has been discovered, eight since October last year.

“The risk for the population is still low,” the state agency said. The CLADE LB is a new form of the virus linked to a World Health Emergency, which was announced by the World Health Organization in August.

UKHSA said the new case – in London, who had recently returned from Uganda, who was witnessing the transfer – has nothing to do with the previous ones specified in the UK.

UKHSA added: “In the outbreak of parts of Africa, we expect to see the occasional import file of Clament IB MPOX in the UK.”

Clade IB MPox has been circulating in several African countries in recent months. Imported cases have been discovered in a number of countries, including Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden and the United States.

What are the symptoms of mpox?

“If you are infected with MPOX, it usually takes between five and 21 days to make the first symptoms appear,” says Dr. Catherine Baford. “The symptoms include fever, headaches, muscle pain, swollen lymph nodes and fatigue, followed by a rash that usually begins on the face and spreads to other parts of the body,” he said.

“The rash from flat waste to long bumps, then blisters full of fluid and eventually, the wounds that eventually disappear, progress,” he said.

“The disease usually lasts two to four weeks and is generally mild, but in some cases it can be severe.”

People often confuse the chickenpox rashes.

“Note that these symptoms can also be associated with more common infections such as chickenpox, so discussing a health professional and, if necessary, is tested,” Roberts adds.

Who is most at risk?

“Those who are most dangerous with a person with MPOX, including family members, sex partners, as well as health care workers, men who have sex with men, people with poor immune systems, and people in areas where MPOX is expanding, Are in contact. ” Bashaford says.
