The British nurse says the reaction in Gaza is “happy but off”

A British nurse in Gaza said that locals in Deir al -Bala were “happy that this might end” – but the reaction to the ceasefire news was “silent than expected”.

Paula Tobin, a British media nurse who works in a field hospital in central Gaza, said Independent When people celebrated on Thursday, they were tired after “really long and traumatic experience.”

“It’s quite silent. More than I expected,” he said.

“I think they are hopeful, but they are just tired,” he said. “The conditions of their lives are terrible. There is a lot of congestion in tents. Poor access to food, poor access to water, without security, security.”

He said he hoped the inhabitants can “sleep tonight and may not be afraid of their children’s lives” after two years of almost indescribable conflict.

Paula said medical facilities throughout Gaza are still facing major deficiencies, especially in the north when the medical system of the hospital is “completely decomposed”.

Asked whether there is a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, he said, “As far as I am aware, this is part of a program that will help them. We desperately need medical equipment.”

He said he was unaware of a precise timetable for supplying supplies at the time.

Why a country believes Tony Blair can bring peace to Gaza

Tony Blair is expected to play an important role in the so -called “Peace Board” that has the task of overseeing the Transitional Government in Gaza as part of the still unrealistic elements of Donald Trump’s peace program.

Criticism of Palestinians, Arab countries and international legal scholars tend to focus on the controversial past Tony, in particular his support for the Iraq war.

They have also expressed concern about the government, citing fear that transitional authority could abandon the Palestinian Agency.

But in a Balkan country, Sir Tony is still a respected hero who may now present the war strip of war -torn war to a tangible shooting in peace:

IRC says the Gaza ceasefire must match the help of help.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) said on Friday that the ceasefire and the release of the hostage should be in line with the increase in assistance to the besieged Gaza Strip.

“The International Rescue Committee and its partners are ready to take over and deliver humanitarian aid; we are more than 5 tons of medical savings and wait for life to enter Gaza,” said David Milband, President and CEO of IRC.

“The IRC reduces the services of protection, nutrition and water and wastewater. Civilians need to open all the aid and unbearable humanitarian access to individuals.”

The former US ambassador says the transaction can be “transformational” – but the challenges left

Mark Wallace, a former US ambassador to the United Nations, said. Independent Trump’s peace agreement to end the war could be “transformationalist”.

“The return of the hostages and the cuts of violence is very important,” he said.

Still, the questions remain. Israel and Hamas have so far agreed to only the first phase of a broader transaction.

“The challenges ahead of the biggest reconstruction effort are certainly since Kuwait, if not World War II,” he said.

“And of course, the government seems to be stable and peaceful?”
