Part of one of England’s busiest highways closed after a truck fire and sent thick black smoke to the sky.
The M25 was closed between the J30 Dartford and the J29 Romford after the HGV carrying car tires in four traffic lines on Wednesday afternoon in flames.
Dramatic images showed prominent flames and smoke columns on top of the highway stretch, as firefighters rushed to fight the fire.
There is a deviant path that delays at least one hour in the anti -clock. Programs are being carried out to get the vehicles caught in closure to get away.
Dozens of firefighters from the Six County Fire and Rescue Services are fighting fire near the Thames Crossing, which connects Kent and Six.
The report said that the tires carried by the truck, where the road can be scattered, are “bright” and “producing a lot of smoke”.
“Because of the nature of the fire, it is still expected to close the road throughout the day, and probably need again,” the national highways said.
The Dartford crossing consists of one bridge and two tunnels that connect the Thurrock to Skswing with Dartford. Maximum 180,000 vehicles in their busiest days use the passageway.
