The British have been set up for the hottest day of the year as much as the temperature is expected to reach 20 degrees Celsius more than Spain or Greece.
The Met office said that Thursday spring mode, which is the first day of astronomical spring, could be the hottest day of 2025.
The southern regions of the British can reach 20 degrees Celsius and parts of the country are warmer than Barcelona in Spain and Athens in Greece, where it is projected to be 15 degrees Celsius and 12C, respectively.
The highest temperature on Wednesday was Wednesday on James Street, central London, until 3pm.
It is also on Thursday, which is likely to reach 20 degrees Celsius, between 1 and 5 pm.

Manchester is not too back and is expected to reach 19 degrees Celsius, between 2 and 4 pm.
Cardiff should then see the 18C temperature between 2 pm and 4 pm.
The highest temperature in the UK was 21.5 degrees Celsius in 1972, and Stephen Dixon, a spokesman for the Met office, said: “The highest temperature of 2025 is unlikely to be at the top.”

This year, on March 9, 19.7 degrees Celsius, Mersyside peaked.
The humid climate will move on Friday and will become more restless weekend.
“Tomorrow’s weather – for many people, it will be very dry, good and sunny, and its temperature is much above average at the time of the year,” said Mr Dixon.

“The temperature reaches its peak on Thursday and they go to the weekend and average, but they are still relatively warm for this time of the year.”
He said higher pressure to eastern England is now helping to draw warmer air than the north across the country.
He said the sun would only be broken by some fair air clouds in central England on Thursday.
Friday will stay warm for many, but some rains are expected to move from the southwest. The shower is expected to start in Cornwall and will gradually travel to parts of Wales, Central and Southern Britain that day.
Then the rain is forecast for most country by the weekend.
The meteorological spring always begins on March 1, while the astronomical or moderate spring begins around March 20. Equinox is another in September, and both show the sun that passes through the equator instead of being at an angle. So day and night are almost the same.
