The main figures of Donald Trump’s Maga Movement have rejected the appointment of the first American pop.
There is not much known about Pope Leo’s political alliances, though he has clearly criticized the Trump administration’s anti -immigration position.
In his election on Thursday as Pop 267, Robert Prevost criticized the US Vice President JD VANCE on his X -based social media platform, which was formerly Twitter.
Leo shared an article from a Catholic publication, “JD VANCE is wrong: Jesus does not ask us to rank our love for others.”
Mr Trump has so far only said that Leo elections are “great honor” for the United States. However, some of the president’s audio supporters have been very important to the new pontiph and attack him quickly.

Speaking to BBC BBC, former strategist Steve Bannon, Mr Trump said on Friday that Leo elections were “jaw”.
“It is shocking for me that a boy can be selected as the pope, whose Feed Twitter and his statements against senior American politicians,” Mr Bannon said.
Practical Catholic predicted that “will definitely be friction” between the new pontiph and the US President.
Laura Longer, a right -wing conspiracy theorist, is said to be the US President’s ear, described the new Pope as “anti -Trump, anti -maga, open -minded and a Marxist like Pope Francis.”
However, Cardinal Timothy Dolan in New York said that on Friday he thinks Leo is looking for bridges with all the world leaders, including Mr Trump.

The new Pope shares some of the political similarities with Mr Trump’s team. Like Trump and Venus, he disagrees with abortion.
But he supports the work to combat climate change in accordance with the post being asked by followers to sign a Catholic climate petition. Mr Trump removed the United States from the Paris climate agreement that fights the global warming.
