To prevent bird flocks on its way in Spain, it rotates as a military jet.
Films recorded on Sunday (July 27) show that the Spanish Air Force fighter EF-18 Hornet, which runs the “escape maneuver” after identifying animals, shocks passers-by on the ground below San Lorenzo’s coast.
“This is part of the standard protocol to protect the pilot and people’s safety,” the Spanish Air Force said.
“Our pilots are trained to respond in millions of unforeseen events.”
The jet performed as part of the 19th version of the Gijón Air Festival, a popular aviation event held in 2006.
