According to the first global study of its kind, the shingle vaccine can reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke by approximately one -fifth.
Researchers have examined the evidence between Zoster herb vaccination – used to prevent shingles – and heart problems.
The results showed that Jab Zona was 18 percent less than a stroke or a heart attack in adults 18 years and older. In adults 50 years and older, the risk of cardiovascular accidents has decreased by 16 %.
The data is due to be presented to the cardiovascular specialist at the annual meeting of the European Cardiovascular Association in Madrid.

“We have looked at the evidence right now and found that in this analysis, vaccination against Zorooster herds is at a lower risk of cardiovascular accidents such as heart attacks or strokes,” said Dr. Charles Williams, author of the study at GSK.
“There are now more research studies to figure out whether this relationship can be attributed to the effect of Zoroastrian herpes vaccination.”
Zona is a common disease caused by chickenpox virus. This infection can cause painful rashes and can lead to serious complications, including vision loss, hearing problems, and wounds.
Vaccines are available in the NHS, but only for people over 65 or 70 to 79 years of age, and people over 50 with extremely weak immune systems.
The systematic review was conducted using three databases of scientific literature, and a meta -analysis was performed using Random Phase 3 controlled trials and observation studies with a look at the effects of vaccine on cardiovascular accidents.

Dr. Williams explained: “While our findings are encouraging, there are some limitations that we studied.”
“Almost all the evidence is caused by observation studies that are susceptible to prejudice and should not be used to infer causation,” he said.
“All studies used in meta -analysis primarily aimed at examining the use of Zoster’s herpes vaccine to prevent shingles in the public population, which may limit the ability to generalize this study in people at a higher risk of cardiovascular accidents. This indicates further research in this field.”
NHS announced this week that 300,000 people will be eligible for Zonea vaccine from September 1. The front is offered to those who are 18 to 49 years old with a severe immune system.
Vaccination is increasingly seen as an effective step in preventing cardiovascular disease, including heart attacks and strokes.
Previous study of more than one million people published in European Heart Journal Earlier this year, people who are granted for shingles have 23 % risk of cardiovascular accidents, including stroke, heart failure and coronary heart disease.
